چکیده

This paper is the first part of a work whose purpose is to investigate duality in some related frameworks (cartesian closed categories, lambda-calculi, intuitionistic and classical logics) from syntactic, semantical and computational viewpoints. We start with category theory and we show that any bicartesian closed category with coexponents is degenerated (i.e. there is at most one arrow between two objects). The remainder of the paper is devoted to logical issues. We examine the propositional calculus underlying the type system of bicartesian closed categories with coexponents and we show that this calculus corresponds to subtractive logic: a conservative extension of intuitionistic logic with a new connector (subtraction) dual to implication. Eventually, we consider first order subtractive logic and we present an embedding of classical logic into subtractive logic.

Bisimulations, Games and Logic

In a recent paper by Joyal, Nielsen, and Winskel, bisimulation is defined in an abstract and uniform way across a wide range of different models for concurrency. In this paper, following a recent trend in theoretical computer science, we characterize their abstract definition game-theoretically and logically in a non-interleaving model. Our characterizations appear as surprisingly simple extens...

Improving Performance of Opportunistic Routing Protocol using Fuzzy Logic for Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks in Highways

Vehicular ad hoc networks are an emerging technology with an extensive capability in various applications including vehicles safety, traffic management and intelligent transportation systems. Considering the high mobility of vehicles and their inhomogeneous distributions, designing an efficient routing protocol seems necessary. Given the fact that a road is crowded at some sections and is not c...

Forum: A Multiple-Conclusion Specification Logic

The theory of cut-free sequent proofs has been used to motivate and justify the design of a number of logic programming languages. Two such languages, λProlog and its linear logic refinement, Lolli [15], provide for various forms of abstraction (modules, abstract data types, and higher-order programming) but lack primitives for concurrency. The logic programming language, LO (Linear Objects) [2...
